Running errands in Kathmandu.

On the way to the registration department I saw this pretty house and stopped to take some pictures:


When I pulled out my camera this boy shyly asked if I'd take his picture:



And, of course, a friend wanted to join:



And THEN, the old man wanted a picture:



But it turned out he really just wanted to be paid for the privilege of having his picture taken, to which I said no.  Sorry old man.



After battling Nepalese beurocracy by being shuffled between offices across town, we went into some of the shops in Thamel.  There are lots of wool crafts shops here which have ridiculous things.  This purse reminded me of fuzzy gumballs!

Then Aine and I went for food.  I like that Buffalo is cheaper than chicken:


I got buffalo mo-mos, which are a lot like fried pot stickers.  They were delicious.



And then I went back to my hotel and crashed,  to be nice and alert for my early morning, eight hour, mountain road bus ride to Pokhara.
